Hi there, Name: Simon Mathews DOB: 01.01.1974 Location: Blackburn, Lancashire I've been into DJ`ing on and off for about 20 years now and over the last couple of years have really got back into mixing. I first got into dance music in the late 80`s early 90's regularly clubbing every weekend and still love to party whenever i can. For many years now i`ve played music and at the age of 18 i got my first set of decks, staying in during the week playing the classics like KING BEE and the sounds of MC WILDSKI. To me now, a much needed change in music played is called for. So now im taking my foot off the well ridden band wagon and stepping away from the Old Skool/ Retro feel. Now dont get me wrong as my passion for music comes from the early days of the Blackburn Raves "when elements where forged in the history of dance music forever". In short all the best retro tunes can now be heard in all the pubs before you get to the clubs...So im sorry if your hoping for a little JJ tribute from back in the day..."BUT IM BACK" and it`s time to OPEN YOUR EYES....to the various sounds of HOUSE.. I absolutley love music and thoroughly enjoy mixing on the decks, i have used & can use CDJ's but still to this day enjoy & use the classic Technics 1210, but i must say i have moved more towards the digital vibe with the use of serato scratch live which is an awesome piece of kit and a pleasure to mix with. I have a very varied taste in music which i play, which ranges from retro house, funky house, electro house, progressive house, trance & minimal tech. I think its very important to be versatile and not stick to one style of music,with doing this it keeps things much more interesting for everyone! Anyway thats all from me for now, I hope you enjoy my future mixes.
